Cardiovascular Disease

Park Place Family Practice treats several cardiovascular disease, including coronary heart disease, congestive heart failure and atrial fibrillation.

Stroke

Park Place Family Practice specializes in the treatment of hemorrhagic and ischemic strokes.

Hemorrhagic

Hemorrhagic strokes occur when arteries burst. They are commonly secondary to aneurisms – hereditary or congenital, or may develop over time due to chronic high blood pressure.

Ischemic

Ischemic strokes occur when arteries clog resulting in areas downstream rupturing. Ischemic strokes are commonly secondary to chronic heart disease caused by smoking, high cholesterol or high blood pressure. Treatment methods include lowering and maintaining optimal cholesterol and blood pressure levels.
