Skin Disorders

The Park Place Family Practice team specializes in the treatment of common and uncommon skin disorders, including eczema, contact dermatitis, psoriasis and skin cancer.

Eczema

Eczema is a common condition that causes skin to become itchy and inflamed or irritated. Our physicians can treat eczema with steroid creams and ointments. It is recommended that patients use lotion after bathing.

Contact Dermatitis

Contact dermatitis is a skin condition caused by direct contact to an irritant (nickel, poison ivy, etc.) and can form blisters if not treated. Contact dermatitis can be treated with steroid creams and ointments.

Psoriasis

Psoriasis is a chronic skin condition that results in skin redness and irritation. The pysicians at Park Place Family Practice can develop a treatment plan using steroid creams and ointments, and other DMARDs (disease modifying antirheumatic drugs).

Skin Cancer

Park Place Family Practice provides full physical screenings for the detection, diagnosis and treatment of skin cancers. Our practice recommends yearly skin assessments, which can be done at the same time as your annual physical. Our practice is equipped to handle in-office biopsies, incisions and other diagnostic testing as necessary.
